English
Frivilligcenter Roskilde is Roskilde Municipality’s centre for voluntary social work. We help anyone who wants to become a volunteer, as well as volunteer-based social associations across the municipality.
We engage in:
- Association support
- Volunteer matching
- Project assistance
- Citizen information
- Network building
Together with local associations, individuals, businesses, and the Municipality, we ensure a diverse and thriving voluntary social sector in Roskilde.
About you:
Do you want to volunteer in Roskilde? We can help you find opportunities — even if you do not speak Danish. Volunteering is about community, care, and working together. Your language level is not important — your motivation is. We are happy to welcome you!
Even if you don't know any Danish, we can connect you with associations which have staff or volunteers who speak English so that you can join the voluntary work community.
Please note: The level of English varies from place to place. Some volunteers speak beginner's English, while others speak advanced English. We cannot give details for each association as it depends on their particular volunteers. However, what is most important is your desire to help – volunteering is about care and community, not perfect language skills. Our charity community is happy to have you!
Our member associations represent a wide range of volunteer-based social associations in the municipality. We are working on an overview of English-speaking ones to list on this page.
If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact us.
